NEW VERSIONS OF MORGENDÄMMERUNG!

My piece "Morgendämmerung" for euphonium and piano has been such a huge hit that I have adapted it first for tuba and piano at the request of tubist Matthew K. Brown; and for trombone and piano at the request of trombonist Brian Diehl.  Both versions have been premiered by the requesters and will be published in the near future.  Thank you!  I'm so glad you like it!

SANAE KANDA...PRODUCER!

After having produced the two tracks recorded by the Cosmopolitan Tuba Quartet for my CD project - I was asked to produce the CTQ's first full length CD!  On January 30th & 31st the Cosmopolitan Tuba Quartet (Roland Fröscher / Adam Frey, euphoniums and Matthew K. Brown / Michael S. Milnarik, tubas) recorded their new album in Reading, Pennsylvania.  The recording is made up of rock transcriptions for tuba quartet!  I am very fortunate that the group recorded, on this album, two new pieces that I wrote for them - "...don't know" and "Endearment II."  The new recording is slated to be released in summer 2012 and my two pieces should be published by then, as well.

MUSIC OF SANAE KANDA IS RECORDED!

It's DONE!  (Well...almost.)  Now we go into post-production.  All of the music (in 3 phases) we set out to record has been recorded, but now it needs to be edited, mixed, mastered and packaged.  So it'll be a while yet before any of it's available - but it is recorded!  A dream come true!  We're working to have it released by this summer, so check back for updates!  Thank you to all those that helped make this project a success!!

FUNDING GOAL REACHED!

On September 7, 2011 my funding goal was reached for a two volume recording of my compositions!  This was accomplished primarily through a website called Kickstarter.com.  I am very excited and extremely grateful to all those that contributed and helped spread the word about this project.  My dream will now come true!  The musicians on this recording are:

Matthew K. Brown, tuba
Brian L. Diehl, trombone
Michael Dobson, Drum Set
Mark Emery, trumpet
Adam Frey, euphonium
Roland Fröscher, euphonium
Sanae Kanda, piano
Richard Kelley, trumpet
Michael S. Milnarik, tuba
Jeff Scott, horn

These musicians appear as part of INNOVATA (brass & percussion); Cosmopolitan Quartet (tuba quartet); tuba and piano; euphonium and piano; solo piano; solo tuba; or euphonium, tuba and piano.  It is great to work with such wonderful musicians to record my music!

Recording all of these great players is world class engineer Dan Czernecki of Classical Recording Service in Troy, NY.  Dan is an outstanding engineer and I am very happy to be working with him on this project.

Thank you!
